Inspiring Details: A Flocked Christmas Tree

Hello everyone!

For the past couple of years I have been swooning flocked Christmas trees and I think this year I am going to try my hand at DIY flocking our real tree! (Shh, I haven’t told the hubby yet lol) I believe flocked Christmas trees are fun, festive and it just makes Christmas feel that much more magical! If you are in need of some inspiration and don’t know where to start, you are in the right place! Check out these beautiful trees below to start. (Stay until the end to view the result of my tree!)

The last picture is the end result of my tree! It was a labor of love

and sadly I could only find this one picture before we took our tree down.

I am determined to find more pictures, so check back for an updated post.

Comment below and let me know your thoughts! Flocked fake tree or flocked real tree?

Or no flocking at all? Type #loveisinthedetails in the comments if

you’d like me to do a tutorial post on how I flocked my tree this year!

Until next year!

Inspiring Details: My Thanksgiving Table

Happy Thanksgiving Eve friends!

Today on the blog I am sharing details from my Thanksgiving table for anyone that needs quick and easy last minute inspiration for your table tomorrow.

For my color palette, I decided to go with calming mint greens paired with white and gold toned colors for a simple, yet sophisticated look. I have a thing for mint green and I love mixing non-traditional colors for a fall tablescape.

I added a variety of faux pumpkins to give this Thanksgiving tablescape a modern twist. The small white and gold pumpkins were a Target run find and for my centerpiece, I used a mint green pumpkin that I purchased at Marshall’s.

I chose to pair classic white dinner plates with white and gold dessert plates for an inviting Thanksgiving gathering. I wanted this table to have a touch of glitz but still be warm and relaxing – so I opted out of having a table cloth or runner and instead chose to use florals to dress the center of the table.

I wanted it to be deeply layered and a little bit playful so I added faux eucalyptus that I found at Marshalls and white roses that I purchased on sale from Michaels Craft Store.

At each setting, I used water goblets from Target that I already owned and dressed each table setting with gray cloth napkins and a decorative glitter gold leaf.

Creating a modern yet stylist table isn’t about perfection. (In fact I noticed from the pictures that I was OK with imperfect details like my place settings curling on the ends) Thanksgiving is all about spending time with those that we love. There are many reasons to give thanks this year and in between our to-do lists and busy schedules, we should all take some time to practice gratitude and reflect on what we’re thankful for. In addition to having good health, my family and my dog Rocco, I am so thankful for all of you! I am excited to see what’s to come as a new blogger. What are you thankful for?
